Wansbeck CVS have organised this fair which will see presentations from important funders in the North East of England. STEPS into Health and Social Care: Schools are part of the workforce development team for the NHS in the North East. The Young Apprentices are specially selected students from local high schools. They are aged 14 -16 and have already identified they may be interested in a career in health and social care.

Wansbeck Works!, managed by Acumen Community Enterprise Development Trust, takes a multi-agency partnership approach to increasing the number of people supported into employment, training and enterprise in Wansbeck are seeking to fill the following full-time position (funded until 31 March 2009): Occupational Health Advisor £25,000 - £30,000 ? pro-rata for a 21-28 hour week. The Ashington Future, The first passenger train to run to Ashington for 40 years. This special train is being chartered by SENRUG to promote their campaign to re-open the Ashington, Blyth and Tyne line for regular everyday passenger use. eVolve Young People Volunteering', part of the Volunteer Centre is launching a one-year fund aimed at encouraging participation by under 25s. The fund will give out a number of grants up to £1500 for any organisation or youth group in the Wansbeck area, with the aim being to widen participation and volunteering within them.
