Young Apprenticeship Programme in Health and Social Care

STEPS into Health and Social Care: Schools are part of the workforce development team for the NHS in the North East. The Young Apprentices are specially selected students from local high schools. They are aged 14 -16 and have already identified they may be interested in a career in health and social care.

Occupational Health Advisor - Wansbeck Works!

Wansbeck Works!, managed by Acumen Community Enterprise Development Trust, takes a multi-agency partnership approach to increasing the number of people supported into employment, training and enterprise in Wansbeck are seeking to fill the following full-time position  (funded until 31 March 2009):  Occupational Health Advisor £25,000 - £30,000 ? pro-rata for a 21-28 hour week. Charter Train to Ashington

The Ashington Future, The first passenger train to run to Ashington for 40 years. This special train is being chartered by SENRUG to promote their campaign to re-open the Ashington, Blyth and Tyne line for regular everyday passenger use. Youth Participation Fund Launch

eVolve Young People Volunteering', part of the Volunteer Centre is launching a one-year fund aimed at encouraging participation by under 25s. The fund will give out a number of grants up to £1500 for any organisation or youth group in the Wansbeck area, with the aim being to widen participation and volunteering within them.
